As South Africa gets ready for the ultimate celebration of South African music excellence, METRO FM is thrilled to announce an incredible line up of hosts for the METRO FM Music Awards 2026 (MMA’s), taking place on Saturday, 25 April at the Durban ICC and the star-studded artist line-up for the award’s music festival.
Lerato Kganyago and Lawrence Maleka will host the main show, which airs live on SABC 1 at 8 PM. Moozlie and Scoop will handle the Green Room, while Lamiez Holworthy takes care of the Black Carpet. Grammy winner Zakes Bantwini is serving as Music Director this year.
After the awards, the party continues at Moses Mabhida Stadium with Somizi Mhlongo and Hope Mbhele hosting the festival. The performer lineup is packed with stars like Big Zulu, Mafikizolo, Young Stunna, Distruction Boyz, DJ Tira, and many more.
"This year's awards celebrate South Africa's incredible music journey and METRO FM's four decades of influence," says Business Manager Kina Nhlengethwa.
