The Africa Choice Awards unveiled 120 nominees for its 7th edition at a Johannesburg media event. It's the first time this Pan-African ceremony is happening in South Africa, coinciding with Africa Day.
Nominees span nine countries including South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Cameroon, Mauritius, Zimbabwe, and Namibia. They cover everything from TV and radio to music, film, fashion, beauty, podcasting, and digital content.
"Africa Choice Awards is more than an awards ceremony — it's a continental movement celebrating Africa's voices, creators, and cultural influence globally," said Puni Modiboa from Mmina Tshipi Integrated Marketing Communication.

- Comics: Farieda Metsileng, Carpo Moore
- Make-up Artists: Vuyo Varoyi, Thuli MUA, Nomsa Madida, Loyiso Beauty
- Social Stars: Bontle Modiselle, Lasizwe Dambuza
- Fashion Stylists: Julienne, Khanyi M, Troy Molaiwa, Thobeka Mbane
- Radio: In Flava, Zanelle Potterla
- Young Entrepreneurs: Silindile Mkhize, Mas'ooda, Michelle Mabuza, Avian Recce, DJ Sbu
- TV/Movie Stars: Dawn Thandeka King, Bonko Khoza, Linda Sokhulu, Prince Grootboom
**Pan-African Highlights:**

The main ceremony happens in September 2026. Winners get trophies, certificates, and potential corporate partnerships.
