HONOR took over Menlyn Mall with an "Unbreakable" activation featuring celebrities, YFM radio, and the Yano Lyrics podcast. The event showcased the durable HONOR X9d 5G smartphone.

Shoppers who answered questions from MC Khanyi Mars got to participate in the HONOR X9d Games, facing off in durability challenges including water resistance and heat testing.

The star-studded lineup included Naledi Aphiwe, DJ Tira, Daliwonga, soccer star Ronwen Williams and others. Karen Mthethwa from YFM's Glow UP show broadcast live, with listeners winning prizes through call-ins.

The takeover happened in two waves, with each round featuring Khanyi Mars introducing the HONOR X9d 5G followed by three challenges: Crushing Walnuts, Crushing Rusks, and the Fish Tank Challenge. Winners received prizes worth up to R10,000.
