Mongezi Dandala is thrilled about the upcoming year as he aims to break into South Africa's commercial art scene. To support this journey, he's enlisted MSSNG Forum, a strategy team led by creative director and founder Ayanda Njanya, who has established himself insports marketing, fashion retail, and entertainment.
Originally from Soweto, a township known for producing Nobel Prize laureates, Dandala is a contemporary artist who specializes in painting, sketching, and murals. Born in 1981 to parents Malixole and Nomxolisi Dandala, his work has been showcased in Parliament during former President Thabo Mbeki's administration. His impressive client roster includes musician Msaki, Capasso, and creative consulting agency HD Creative Network.
2026 is poised to be Dandala's breakthrough year, featuring quarterly 'Art Lounge' events launching in April in Pimville, group exhibitions in Johannesburg and Cape Town, and the production of a documentary.
