MAXHOSA AFRICA TO PRESENT FIRST OFFICIAL RUNWAY SHOW ON OPENING DAY OF PARIS FASHION WEEK

MaXhosa Africa is hitting a major milestone. On September 28, 2026, the brand will present its latest collection on the opening day of Paris Fashion Week, capping off 16 years as one of Africa's most recognized luxury fashion houses.

This marks a new chapter for the South African brand. After spending over a decade building its identity and establishing itself in the global fashion world, MaXhosa Africa is now ready to define what African luxury means on the international stage.

This season brings something historic: MaXhosa Africa will present its first full runway show on the official Paris Fashion Week calendar. That makes it the first South African brand ever approved for a full runway show at Paris Fashion Week. It's a big deal—placing the brand right alongside the global luxury names that have long dominated the fashion landscape.

According to founder and Chief Creative Director Laduma Ngxokolo, "For us, this collection is about recognizing how far we have come and being confident in where we are going. We have spent 16 years building a brand with a clear identity, a strong cultural foundation and the ability to stand on a global stage. This is not about proving that we belong. It is about owning our place and continuing to shape the future of African luxury on our own terms."

The collection showcases MaXhosa Africa's evolution toward a cleaner, more contemporary expression of African luxury. The focus is on the garments themselves—the textiles, the craftsmanship, the design. Culture remains at the heart of the work, but it's expressed through modern design rather than traditional costuming. Music, movement, and performance add to the visual story, reflecting the creative energy coming out of Africa today.

The goal? To create a collection that turns heads, connects with global luxury consumers, and cements MaXhosa Africa's place among the top fashion houses of this generation.

For MaXhosa Africa, September 28, 2026 isn't just another show date. It's a declaration of arrival and the start of the brand's next chapter as a global African luxury house.
