Uzalo Season 12 is bringing some exciting new faces to KwaMashu! These fresh characters are going to shake things up with plenty of drama and relationship chaos.

The New Characters:
**Nduduzo Zuma as Smiso** (starts March 27, 2026)
This charming but unpredictable guy brings youthful energy to KwaNjomane. He gets tangled up with Babekazi in a complicated romance that's bound to cause trouble.
**Phindile Mashabane as LaDlamini** (starts April 8, 2026)
She's a successful businesswoman who knows exactly what she's worth. Smart and confident, she catches Mbatha's attention - but won't be easily won over.
**Sikhosiphi Ngcobo as Bab'Sizwe** (starts April 10, 2026)
After Chief Shepherd's death, this traditional leader wants justice. His grief turns into a mission to challenge Nkunzi's power, setting up some major conflicts in KwaMashu.
**Thulani Mtsweni as Pondo** (starts April 24, 2026)
Pondo's the funny, charismatic guy everyone loves - but he's running from his past. Years ago, he walked away when faced with becoming a father. Now he's back and will have to deal with old mistakes.
"Every new character brings something meaningful to the story. This season has more heart, more tension, and the honest storytelling that keeps Uzalo close to South Africans," says Series Producer David Mukwevho.
