Tropika Island of Treasure is returning for its highly anticipated 12th season, featuring host Zanele Potelwa and eight celebrity contestants competing for treasure and glory. The celebrity lineup includes rapper Nadia Nakai, Olympic champion Caster Semenya, rugby star Francois Hougaard, actress Leandie du Randt, actor/singer Sandile Mahlangu, actress Amanda Du-Pont, Miss South Africa 2021 Lalela Mswane, and actor Wiseman Mncube.
A new companion show called "Tropika Island Search" will premiere on March 16, 2025, following Zanele Potelwa as she visits seven island destinations to find the perfect location for Season 12. The show is also seeking eight members of the public to join the celebrities through auditions opening March 5 and closing May 5, 2026, with finalists competing for a shared R1 million grand prize and receiving R10,000 Pep shopping vouchers. Participants can audition by uploading videos to social media platforms using the hashtag #Tropika and tagging @MyTropika.
