The countdown is on! Tropika Island Of Treasure is back for season 12, whisking contestants away to gorgeous Réunion Island for an adventure filled with physical tests, mental games, strategy, and tons of surprises.
Catch the premiere Wednesday, September 23 at 21:00 on SABC 1 (repeats Thursday, September 24 at 18:00 on S3). This season features South Africa's top celebrities teaming up with eight everyday South Africans, all battling for a share of R1 million.
**The Celebrities**
The star-studded lineup includes Nadia Nakai (Team Apple), Caster Semenya (Team Orange), Francois Hougaard (Team Tropical), Leandie du Randt (Team Blueberry Cheesecake), Sandile Mahlangu (Team Mango Peach), Amanda du-Pont (Team Peach), Lalela Mswane (Team Litchi), and Wiseman Mncube (Team Pineapple). Fan-favorite host Zanele Potelwa is back to guide everyone through the action.
**The Everyday Heroes**
Joining the celebs are eight South Africans who earned their spots through tough auditions: content creator and athlete Ashay Sewlall, 5FM presenter Jodell Tantij, Chartered Accountant Shaun Farrell, entrepreneur Thando Zwane, pharmacist Anke Coetzer, content creator Iana Strydom, and education student Andile Khuluse.
