The Devil Wears Prada 2 had its official South African premiere on Tuesday at Ster-Kinekor Eastgate. Over 500 guests - including media, fashion industry leaders, influencers, and celebrities - came together to celebrate the sequel, twenty years after the original film became a cultural hit.
The evening was all about high fashion. Guests walked a live runway and posed with the iconic red stiletto installation from the film's global tour. Host Pamela Mtanga kept the energy high as everyone showed off their runway-ready looks.
Major brands joined the celebration too. Samsung and Vodacom unveiled their new Galaxy S26 Ultra retail deal, Mercedes-Benz displayed their upcoming Maybach model, and The Fix showcased an exclusive Devil Wears Prada 2 collection.
The guest list was impressive - Bonang Matheba, Loot Love, Zozibini Tunzi, Thebe Magugu, and many other South African stars and fashion insiders attended.
The sequel brings back the original cast: Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci return to the glamorous world of Runway Magazine. David Frankel directs again, with Aline Brosh McKenna writing the script.
